Shelter animals make wonderful companions!

At this very moment, hundreds of healthy cats and dogs, kittens and puppies are awaiting their “forever home” in the City's shelters. If you can provide that home, give us a call at 344-PETS, visit one of the two City Shelters, check out adoptable animals on the City's website, or visit us at our next adoption event.

Alliance volunteers are out at the shelters every day, so we can answer all your questions about the city adoption process and help you choose the animal best suited to your lifestyle.

As part of their adoption fee, all shelter animals are spayed or neutered, given all first shots, a microchip and receive free first vet visit at participating vets.  

We’ll even provide you with the post-adoption support that will help you adjust to life with your new companion – everything from literature on proper pet care to Web site information to training and rehabilitation resources.
